Tree of Life Version – TLV Thinline – Hard Cover.

The Tree of Life Version (TLV) speaks with a decidedly Hebrew-friendly voice – a voice like the Bible authors themselves – to recover the authentic context of the Bible and the Christian faith. Messiah’s death and resurrection was not the beginning of a new religion but the fulfillment of the covenant God made with his chosen and called out people. Let’s remember that the first followers of the Messiah were Jews. Yet most Bible translations lose the connection to the Jewish and Hebraic nature of the Bible. As a result, biblical books that were written to the Israelites, for Israelites, and about Israelites lose a critical element – their actual Hebrew or Jewish essence.

The Tree of Life Version (TLV) is a new Bible translation, produced by Messianic Jewish and Christian scholars, which highlights the rich Hebraic foundations of the Christian faith by restoring:

· the Jewish order of the books of the Old Testament
· the Hebrew name of the Messiah, Yeshua
· reverence for the four-letter name of God (YHWH)
· Hebrew transliterated terms, such as shalom, shofar, shabbat
· and more

Discover the rich meaning of the Bible with this faithful new translation that is accurate, readable, reverential, and true to the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith.

Endorsements for the Tree of Life Version

“The Tree of Life Version is a miracle in motion.” – Jack Hayford

“I am so excited about this innovative new translation of the Bible. The Tree of Life Version is unlike any other Bible you’ve ever read. This Bible focuses on the Jewish roots that are so foundational to our Christian faith. With its relatable Hebrew language and authentic cultural context, you’ll gain a new appreciation for how the Bible was originally meant to be read and understood.” – Robert Morris, founding senior pastor, Gateway Church; bestselling author of The Blessed Life, From Dream to Destiny, and Truly Free

“This Bible is the collective work of this renewed Messianic Jewish community and the first and only of its kind. Translated directly from the original Greek and Hebrew texts and vetted by some of our best and brightest Messianic theologians and scholars, the translation is true to its original Hebraic roots and idiom. More than a historically important work, it represents the fulfillment of this prophetic, last days’ restoration and the re-establishment of the Jewish Remnant to their unique and important leadership role in the body of the Messiah.” – Jonathan Bernis, Jewish Voice Ministries International

“The Tree of Life Version combines dignity with readability. It is faithful to the original text while speaking in contemporary language, and it is highly sensitive to Messianic Jewish distinctives while at the same time serving the larger needs of the body as a whole.” – Michael Brown, PhD, AskDrBrown Ministries

“The TLV is the fulfillment of a long-awaited dream to have a complete translation by biblical scholars sensitive to the Hebraic character of both Testaments. The church has known since its earliest days that it has a spiritual indebtedness to the Jewish people (Rom. 15:27), since everything it holds dear came through Jewish hands. Unfortunately, this vital knowledge of the Jewish roots of Christianity is sorely lacking in the modern church. Fortunately, the TLV is now here to restore what has been lost at a time in history when it is needed most.” – Randall Price, PhD, distinguished research professor; executive director of Center for Judaic Studies, Liberty Biblical Museum

“When I read the TLV translation I found it refreshing and more than that, it was compelling. May God use it for his glory.” – Elmer L. Towns, cofounder and vice president, Liberty University

“We now have a project that is the first Messianic Jewish Bible that is the product of a mutually-accountable team that vets the translations so that they are not just the word of a particular individual. This is a milestone in Bible translation. The Tree of Life Version is excellent.” – Daniel Juster, ThD Restoration from Zion and Tikkun International

“Reading the Tree of Life Version has been for me like the spiritual equivalent of the first time I saw high-definition television: there was a lot more Jewishness in the biblical text than I had ‘seen’ reading other standard English translations.” – A. Boyd Luter, PhD, faculty in biblical studies, The King’s University; assistant professor of biblical studies, Liberty University School of Divinity

“The Tree of Life Version is not only exceptionally timely, but it breaks the mold for the translation industry itself. It captures the nuances of meanings in a way previous translations have missed.” – Carl Raschke, PhD

“Anyone wanting to read a Bible from a Jewish Christian perspective should read this one.” – James Merritt, lead pastor, Cross Pointe Church

“At last a translation that connects the apostolic writings with the Hebrew scriptures in a way that makes the Bible one seamless story. The Old Covenant Scriptures end with the story of Cyrus, the Persian king, rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem. The apostolic writings begin with the birth of Yeshua who is taken to that temple to be dedicated to the Lord.” – Don Finto, Caleb Company

“The Tree of Life Version of the Holy Scriptures is both sensitive to the Jewish people and faithful to the presentation of G-d’s Word. This wonderful translation will bless all who delve into its pages.” – Randy Weiss, PhD, Crosstalk International

“I wholeheartedly endorse the TLV version and encourage everyone to read it.” – Wayne Wilks Jr., PhD, executive pastor of Jewish Ministries, Gateway Church; president, Messianic Jewish Bible Institute

“The true-to-life translation of the thinking of first century people comes out clearly as the disciples, religious leaders, and crowds wrestle with words and deeds of Israel’s Messiah and Lord.” – Dr. Jeffrey Feinberg, PHD, College of International Studies, Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics

“It is a joy to me to see an English translation of the scriptures which honors the translation practices of both Jewish and Christian traditions. With an overriding care for accuracy of translation, the translators have produced a translation which is reliable, easy to read, and understandable by readers from many faith traditions, while clearly deeply reflecting its Jewish heritage–not an easy task! I recommend the TLV for all who seriously want to know more about the ‘Jewishness’ of the scriptures–the freshness and vitality of the translation will invite the reader into a new appreciation of the ‘God of all time.'” – David Ross, PhD, president, Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics
